To myself

This body of work, To Myself, came out of isolation and self-reflection during the Covid-19 pandemic. I took this time to acknowledge the ways I cope with the everyday. The chosen language reflects my mixed reactions to life’s struggles. These phrases are sometimes inscribed on the walls of my sense of self, or they pound repeatedly and build with time. This work is bare, muted, and vulnerable; asking for comfort in a world filled with uncertainties. Processes include wood carving, screenprint, frottage, and letterpress.
